FAQS
Question:
Just wondering how far you have come on the Hayabusa Project and if the kit will be ready soon for sale overseas?
Answer:
The Hayabusa venture could be a good route if you have to spend at least 40,000 $CAN on the project. On top of that's there's the restoration of the Cappuccino. But there's other more cost effective road. We are now playing with some new K6A engines which develop over 115bhp strait from the box and about 190bhp with the right tuning and near 300bhp with a bit more cash. Which is not bad for a 3 cylinders, 700cc engine.
We are also now have a V8 Hayabusa with 372bhp or about 700bhp twin turbo. (see pic in the attachment)
As far as the actual project on our web site, it was stopped for lack of funding from our customer. And personally, I never thought it was commercially viable to carry on the project. When we do a Cappuccino, it need to look like it was out of the factory. That all parts fitted is there because they meant to be there.
If you’re still interested to order, here’s your choices:
- The new K6A engine. Develop up to 300bhp. Fit perfectly in the Cappuccino. About £15,000 to fit it in a Cappuccino. (includes parts)
- Hayabusa engine, develop 172bhp. Can double with the right tuning and a turbo kit. About £30,000 to fit. (includes parts) – have already the shell in stock
- V8 Hayabusa engine. (See pic in the attachment). Develop up to 380bhp. Can be twin turbo for 700bhp. Giving 1000bhp per tonne Cappuccino. Engine alone is £25,000
Anything else which been tried wasn’t working well. It unbalance greatly the Cappuccino making them un-drivable.
Cappuccino like the one above are on command only and can start building now. We’re actually working on an K6A one at the moment with the body kit similar to the one in the attachment.
We have every performance parts imaginable for the Cappuccino to make it either a race car, a GT or something more polyvalent (race, work, travel). We also have the roof panels in carbon fiber.
