Q1. -What does the VDC system include?
A1.
- The VDC comes with everything your car needs to convert (2) two doors. No need to buy anything else.
The kit includes: (2) Steel Door Hinge Assemblies (left and right) , (2) High Powered Lift Shocks, All Mounting Hardware, Carbon Fiber Trim Replacement, Wiring Harness Extension Detailed Installation Manual This bolt on kit is the perfect solution; it is very simple to install and will take only a few hours and is a fraction of the cost of a custom job. Simply roll your fenders, bolt the kit on and you are done. This modification will make your vehicle stand out more than any bodykit.

Q2. - Do I have to modify my car in anyway to make the VDC fit?
A2.
- Some (most) vehicles need their inner fender rolled not cut and for vehicles with power accessories wire extensions will have to be spliced in.

Q3. – Is it truly a bolt on kit?
A3.
– It is for the following cars:
1992 to 1995 Honda Civic 2/3 door also Del Sol (all)
1996 to 2000 Honda Civic 2/3 door
1990 to 2001 Acura Integra 3 door
1994 to 1997 Honda Accord
1996 to 1999 Acura CL
Any other cars, the kit will fit but it will need some modification to fit your particular car. Those modifications can be done by us to get the perfect result.

Q4. - Can I modify the VDC to fit my car since there is no application for my car?
A4.
- Well anything is possible, we can not recommend it and will not honor warrantees on modified VDC's. However, several customers have taken it upon themselves to make it happen. Check www.decah.net gallery!

Q5. - What’s the cost of getting a set install on my car?
A5.
– If your car is in the list of bolt on kits, than it’s between £200 to £400. If you car is not on this list, than price vary between £300 to £900 depending on the complexity of the work. Come to see us at Fairfax Motorsport, 86 Pownall Crescent, Colchester, Essex, CO2 7RF for a complete estimate.

Q6. - Are you going to make a VDC for my car?
A6.
- Demand & Design dictate which vehicle applications will be made. Every time we install the kit on a new model, a template is made for the next one. For example, we have recently installed the kit on a few of our Suzuki Cappuccino. Therefore a kit is now available to be sent and fit this particular car. We also have different power spring to fit: 3500N for TRUCK/SUV - 2600N for most Japanese and European doors – 1600N for very small car like the Cappuccino and the Mini. And the list of cars the universal kit will fit is expending rapidly. Stay posted!

Q7. - Can I get out of my car the regular way once I install the VDC, you know in case of emergency or rain?
A7.
- The door will open the regular way up to a predetermined angle to allow quick and easy exit and entry.

Q8. - Is the VDC a hinge?
A8.
- No........ It is a bidirectional pivotal system. A simple hinge from your NHP, (Neighborhood Hardware store Performance) would not work without excessive body and chassis modification and then would be extremely costly & dangerous. Don't be fooled or misled. Anyone trying to sell you a simple hardware store hinge or the idea that you can do it yourself from hardware store supplies probably owns the hardware store. Why do you think custom body shops charge £5000.00 plus to do this conversion ? The purpose of the VDC is to enable the average auto enthusiast the chance do this conversion without cutting, chopping and rebuilding there cars chassis and body risking possible critical structural integrity, for a minimal cost and down time. And this is what the VDC is!

Q9. - What will the door look like with the VDC installed?
A9.
- When the door is closed it looks stock with no signs of a installed VDC but when open it looks, well you know....
